John Conte - Physics, 9th grade Integrated Science

Proud graduate of Interboro High School Class of 2005

Graduated from Widener University Class of 2009
  • Majors: Physics and Secondary Education
  • Minors: Astronomy, Environmental Science, and Mathematics
  • Conducted astronomy research at Lowell Observatory working out of Northern Arizona University.
  • Conducted climate research using Widener's weather station.
Currently in Year 4 as a teacher at Interboro High School

  • PHYS 098 - Public Astronomy Outreach
  • SCI 101 - Introduction to Physical Science
Assistant Director of Widener Observatory: Open for free public stargazing sessions every Monday night and the first Friday of every month during Widener's school semesters in the fall and spring. (see link below)

Other Interests
Plays various musicial instruments (specializing in drums and percussion).
Fluent in Italian and enjoys spending time in Italy with all of his relatives and friends in his native town Nusco.
